1. Based on your reflections, and on a scale of 1 to 10 (ten being optimal wellbeing), where do you rate your A-physical wellbeing, B-spiritual well-being, C-psychological well-being? Why?
Physical Wellbeing- 6, Need to get back into my routine daily exercising
Psychologically- 7.5, Most of the time my behavior and how I process daily things, are pretty good
Spiritually- 8, This is my strongest area, but still could use some work
2. Develop a goal for yourself in each area (physical, spiritual, psychological). And how to implement this?
Physical- circumstances in my life changed 6 months ago, and I let those circumstances affect my overall life and in the process my physical fitness went also. My goal is to get back into my daily exercising, which consisted of cardio every other day, strength training every other day (working on different muscle groups), and walking at least 5 days a week. I speak of walking a lot, it does so many things for me mentally and physically.
Spiritual- I spend much time outdoors, sometimes working in the yard, or just sitting and watching and listening to nature, it is my spiritual uplift. I am not a believer of one God, but of many, and each take on the representation of their own facet of life. My goal is to spend more time meditating, and worshipping these Gods, and thanking them daily for all they have given us, and embrace that feeling.
Pschological- My goal is to work on my stress issues, which can be put into perspective by working on all the areas we are talking about in this assignment. And to take the time to wish someone a nice day, smile more often, just take a notice in becoming a nicer person to the people around me or the people I encounter.
3. Complete the relaxation exercise The Crime of the Century. Describe your experience.
I have to say I would like to know how he came up with that title. I did have difficulties getting into a deep relaxation state; I have an upper respiratory infection, and was unable to do the deep breathing exercise. And I’m here to say it affective, but not to the depth as if you’re able to do the deep breathing. I heard this before as an assignment in another course, so I was familiar with it. I did have a hard time meditating and visualizing the colors. But this gentleman’s voice is very relaxing and can put anyone at ease.
